Maxpoint Observation MaximDL Plugin

This plugin for MaximDL allows you to easily add new observations to your Maxpoint model as you take images throughout the evening.

After taking a new image in MaximDL simply plate solve the image using pinpoint and then run the plugin. The plugin will convert the recorded corrected target coords to the real uncorrected scope coords and then use the plate solved accurate coords and the scope coords to add a new observation to the Maxpoint model.
Thus the Maxpoint model can be refined as you take images throughout the night. This also has the advantage of being able to use your actual target exposures to refine the model, you don’t need to take extra images specifically to update the model.

Usage:

After taking a new image in MaximDL simply plate solve the image using pinpoint and then run the plugin.
